This site collects as little as possible. Here is exactly what it does collect, why, and what happens to it.

What this site collects

The contact form

When you submit the form on the contact page, you send your name, email, the role you select, and your message. That information is used only to respond to your inquiry and evaluate whether the matter is a fit. It is stored in a private database and delivered to Joe by email. It is never sold, rented, shared with marketers, or used to send you a newsletter.

Technical logs

This site is served by Cloudflare, which processes standard technical data (such as your IP address and browser type) to deliver pages, block malicious traffic, and screen form submissions for spam. The IP address attached to a form submission is retained with it to help identify abuse. Beyond the analytics described below, this site runs no advertising trackers.

Site analytics

This site uses Google Analytics to see how it is used, such as which pages are read and how visitors arrive. Google Analytics sets cookies in your browser and receives the pages you visit, your approximate location, and your device and browser type. It does not receive anything you type into the contact form. You can block these cookies in your browser settings or use Google’s opt-out add-on. Google describes how it handles this data in its privacy policy.

Document downloads

The complaints, declarations, and court filings available on the cases pages are public court records. Downloading them requires no account, and you never need to share personal information to do it.

Who processes the data

Two service providers handle form submissions, and only to do their jobs. Cloudflare provides hosting, spam screening, and database storage, and a transactional email provider delivers the notification email to Joe. Neither is permitted to use your information for anything else. It goes to no other third party unless the law requires it.

How long it’s kept

Form submissions are kept while an inquiry or engagement is active, and for a reasonable period afterward for record-keeping. If you want your submission deleted, ask, and it will be, unless a legal obligation requires keeping it.

A note before you write

Please don’t send confidential or privileged details through the contact form. A short description of the matter type is enough to start. Anything sensitive can wait until a conflicts check is complete and a secure channel is set up.

Pages on this site link to public records and resources on other sites, such as SEC.gov, the Department of Justice, and Credly. Those sites have their own privacy practices, and this policy doesn’t cover them.

Your rights

You can ask what information this site holds about you, ask for a copy, ask for a correction, or ask for deletion. Email inquiry@joedarragh.com and you’ll get a response within a reasonable time. This site is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with a new effective date. Any material change applies going forward and not to information collected earlier.
